Lights Out Bend bird protection
A proclamation asks residents to dim unnecessary lights at night during migration seasons — over a billion birds die in building collisions nationally each year, and Think Wild has treated 91 window-strike birds this year alone.
South Awbrey Butte stormwater drainage problem

Climate Pollution Fee adoption
Public commenters urged a strong electrification fee with no RNG exemptions, starting April 2027; a roundtable is set for April 8.

Pilot Butte Canal Historic District preservation
Two residents who live along the canal urged the council to resist Central Oregon Irrigation District plans to pipe the canal, which they say would damage the historic district and raise legal questions about easements across private property.
